Part of the "Footprints in the Sand" collection of beach landscapes. I wanted to portray the excitement I feel as I get closer to the beach, walking over the dunes and smelling the salt air.
They are impressionistic in style with brisk brushstrokes and emotion. This one is four foot square so is impressive on a wall.
"As an artist, I strive to continually grow and experiment with different techniques and mediums. I have spent most of my adult careers an Creative Director and graphic designer before becoming a full time professional photographer and fine artist. As of 2015, I had decided to work on my painting full time and now sell internationally with representation in Paris, London and Japan. Composition, creative problem solving and working with deadlines became ingrained after three decades as a designer. I also hold a BS degree in Fine & Applied arts from San Diego State University. Having this experience has affected how my photographic images are framed in the camera, my understanding of light on objects from directing studio photographers...
